Sparkshop relies on an ever-growing community of volunteers to provide our kits to Chicago students. We’re so grateful for all of their support. Below, you’ll find opportunities to get involved!
Individual Volunteers
We are always looking for more people to join our volunteer team! We periodically ask volunteers to join packing, fundraising, and outreach events, and more.
We also host a packing night on the last Monday of every month at our space in Make City.

Associate Board
Join SparkShop’s Associate Board and turn your skills into impact. As a member, you’ll use your experience in fundraising, community engagement, and nonprofit leadership while helping bring volunteer and outreach events to life. Contribute your ideas, expand your professional network, build valuable leadership experience, and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of SparkShop.
5 hour monthly commitment near downtown Chicago.
Corporate Volunteer & Professional Group Events
If you are looking for a fun event to engage your employees and do some good, Sparkshop can help! We can bring supplies and facilitate the event at your office, or host up to 20 of your employees in our space at Make City. To begin planning a event for your team, we ask to have a 30-minute planning meeting to get to know each other and go over logistics.
